Meal Prep Cheap and Easy!

I am so excited to share how I created 8 meals with 2o minutes prep time at aprox $2 each meal!! I will say again, we tend to make meal prep much more complicated than it needs to be. The key is really paying attention to what your buying at the grocery store, shopping with a plan and setting the time aside to meal prep. Trying to meal prep without a plan would leave anyone feeling frustrated.

I have created meal plans and grocery lists that I do BEFORE I go shopping and what has come from that is – saving money, less time in the grocery store, a successful week of staying on track and being PREPared!! When we have ourselves set up with what we need to get through the week, it keeps us from making not so good choices or ordering take out. When I look at how much it costs me to cook a HEALTHY meal at home compared to what it costs to get take out, it is simply CRAZY!!! 

Of course it is easy to get caught up in the craziness of our days with work, kids sports and laundry etc. With that being said, those are all excuses!! As I share in my video below, taking time to meal prep actually SAVES you TONS of time!! With the meal I created in my video, it took me 20 minutes prep time, cook time was 45 minutes and to portion everything out took maybe 10 minutes. Keep in mind that the 45 minutes that dinner was cooking, I was doing other things! Use your time wisely and I promise that meal prep will become your best friend!!
