Its hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel when you feel like your constantly failing and running in the same circles! Of course it’s important to have goals! We NEED goals to keep us moving forward and growing in life. What is not always easy to see is what it looks like long term.
If we are in a place of wanting to or needing to lose weight, whether it is 5 pounds, 20 pounds or 100 pounds, it’s not something that just comes and goes. Its not something that once you meet your goal weight that you can just stop paying attention. Unfortunately, that is not generally the way we look at it. We have our sights set on that one number, that one goal and not what comes after.
Weight loss and maintaining weight loss are two different monsters but can all be created under one structure for success. Giving up that you JUST need to get to your goal then all will be right in the world is a GREAT place to start! Who wants to learn one way to reach your goal then another way to maintain?? NOT ME!!
Today I posted my first ever beach before and after and it was SCARY but it also reminded me of my journey and that the mindset shift of taking on my journey as a LIFESTYLE and not just reaching a weight loss goal is what has kept me successful in maintaining my weight loss.
